BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The Bay Terrace Country Club is up for sale for $8.1 million after failing to sell at a bankruptcy auction last year.
The multimillion-dollar listing, which appeared last month, describes the site of the members-only club as "an ideal opportunity for redevelopment in a high barrier to entry market," the LoopNet listing says.
Located at 217-14 24th Ave. overlooking Little Neck Bay, the Bay Terrace Country Club filed for bankruptcy in 2018.

The site headed to the auction block on March 5, 2019 but attracted no bidders, prompting the club's lender, A Rel Yyz L.P., to move forward with a $5.5 million offer, amNewYork reported.
The Bay Terrace Country Club will continue leasing the site through October 2021, according to amNewYork and the LoopNet listing.

The club features a swimming pool, ball courts, a playground and live entertainment, according to its website. Maureen Hilsdorf, president of the Board of Governors of the club, told amNewYork last year that more than 300 families hold memberships.
A spokesperson for Cushman & Wakefield, the real estate agency that is helping sell the site, declined to comment.
