Plans Filed For Daycare, Apartment Building In Bayside

The planned four-story building at 214-10 15th Ave. would feature 18 apartments and a daycare center on the first floor, city records show.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS -- A developer has filed plans to build up a four-story apartment complex with a built-in daycare center in Bayside, city records show.

Dun Xing Zhang, a partner at Bayside 215th Realty LLC, filed permits with the New York City Department of Buildings to erect the 19,481-square-foot building at 214-10 15th Ave., according to city records.

The proposed development, rising 40 feet, would create 18 apartments averaging 787 square feet apiece, and a 5,320-square-foot daycare center on the first floor, according to the DOB application.

Residents would have access to a laundry and storage room, an elevator, a fourth-floor outdoor terrace and 15 underground parking spaces.

The Flushing-based firm Tan Architects is listed on permits as the designer of the new building.

No demolition permits have been filed for an existing structure on the property and developers have yet to announce an estimated completion date for the building.
