One home has been on the market for almost 10 months — almost five times the average selling time.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS - The average home spends about 65 days on the market, from the time that the home is listed until the owner hands over the keys, Realtor.com says, and then there are those unlucky few that stay on the market for months — sometimes years — before being purchased.
Realtor.com predicts that the 2017 national real-estate market will be slow compared to the past two years, which doesn't bode well for some homes.
