37 'Affordable' Apartments Near Bed-Stuy Require At Least $65K

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Nearly 40 affordable apartments are up for grabs near Bed-Stuy, though all of them require more than a $65,000 salary to apply.

Most of the units are in a building on Pacific Street in Prospect Heights which just hit the city's affordable housing lottery.

There are 22 studios, 13 one-bedrooms, two two-bedrooms and one three-bedroom available in that building, which is found at 834 Pacific St. near Vanderbilt Avenue.

To apply, applicants for the studios should make at least $65,143 per year and $75,429 minimum for the one-bedroom spots. For the two-bedrooms, a minimum combined salary of $85,715 is required and at least two people must be included in the application. At the three bedroom, at least three people need to apply with a combined salary of $121,029.

The building includes a long list of amenities, including a dog park, gym, spa, yoga/dance studio, "party room" and rooftop terrace.

It will stay on the affordable housing lottery list until early January, according to the listing.

The second building near Bed-Stuy on the list is found at 314 Lafayette Ave. in Clinton Hill.

Here, there are 13 studio apartments available. Applicants should make at least $69,600 to apply for one of the spots.

Similar to the Pacific Street building, there is a dog park and rooftop terrace in the building, which will stay on the lottery list until Nov. 29.
