4 Bed-Stuy Townhouses Score $2M-Plus Sales, Report Says

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — An unassuming Putnam Avenue brownstone landed a $2.59 million contract, according to a report of luxury home sales in Brooklyn.
The 364 Putnam Ave. home was one of four townhouses in Bed-Stuy that entered high-dollar contracts last week, a report by Compass found.
There were 19 total, $2 million-plus luxury sales in Brooklyn that week, Compass reported.

None in Bed-Stuy quite reached the price of a $5.6 million condo in downtown Brooklyn, but the neighborhood's four sales show swanky homebuyers continue to shell out big bucks to scoop up property in an area with long-standing tensions over displacement and gentrification.
