Affordable Bed-Stuy Apartments Hit Housing Lotto

Snag a $859 studio on Vernon Avenue or a $1,600 two-bedroom in a luxury Bed-Stuy development on Fulton Street.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN -- Seventeen affordable Bed-Stuy apartments in two new buildings became available through the city's housing lottery this week, city records show.

Apartments at 1328 Fulton St., 220 and 222 Vernon Ave. hit the housing lotto Wednesday and up for grabs until Feb. 13, according to the NYC Housing Connect website.

One $856-a-month studio, one $985-a-month one-bedroom and two $1,114-a-month two-bedrooms are available at Vernon Avenue, city records show.

Households must earn between $29,349 and $62,580 to apply.

Thirteen Fulton Street units are open to New Yorkers earning between $42,412 and $83,440 annually.

The studios cost for $1,237-a-month, one bedrooms go for $1,418-a-month and two-bedrooms rent at $1,599-a-month.

Fulton Street building amenities include a fitness center, landscaped outdoor patios, bike storage, laundry room, records show. The Vernon Avenue apartments include access to a pay-to-use laundry room.
