Brooklyn Developer Evicted From Bed-Stuy Headquarters: Report

Brookland Capital, dubbed one of Brooklyn's most prolific developers, received an eviction notice at its Bed-Stuy HQ, reports show.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn's "most prolific developer" may have to pack up and move his Quaker parrots, pizza stone, and vintage Ms. Pac-Man arcade machine after his Bed-Stuy landlord filed to evict, according to reports.

Brookland Capital CEO Boaz Gilad was told to clear out of his headquarters on Malcolm X Boulevard and MacDonough Street this week by landlord Ronel Ben-Dov, The RealDeal reported Thursday.

The development firm also faces a $300,000 breach of contract lawsuit from construction company Braga Corp., which claims has not been paid for work done at 650-658 Madison St. near Stuyvesant Avenue, according to the report.
