New Affordable Bed-Stuy Apartments Require 6-Figure Income
Make $100,000 a year? You can apply for these affordable apartments.

BEDFORD STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — If you make $100,000 a year you might qualify for one of the new “affordably priced” apartments that hit the Bed-Stuy housing lottery this week.
Eleven apartments at 867 DeKalb Ave. — none of which go for less than $2,100 per month — are being touted as affordable on the NYC Housing Connect website, city records show.
The one- and two- bedroom apartments range in price between $2,100 and $2,700 and, in order to apply for one, you’ll need an income of up to $124,000 a year.

Five one-bedroom apartments — two that cost $2,163 per month and three hat cost $2,253 per month — require an annual income between $74,160 and $99,320.
Six two-bedroom apartments — two that cost $2,394, three that cost $2,609 and one that costs $2,716 — are available to people making between $82,080 and $124,020 per year.

Building amenities include a gym, lounge and laundry room that you might have to pay extra to access. The nearest subway stop is the Myrtle Avenue J, M and Z station, which is more than a half-mile away.
The deadline to apply for an apartment is May 14. More information can be found on the NYC Housing Connect website.
