Restoration Plaza Hosts Home Ownership Expo

The free event will offer access to experts on how to buy and keep an affordable home in Brooklyn.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — The Bridge Street Development Corporation will host its eighth annual Fresh Start Home Resource Expo this Saturday to offer Brooklynites info and advice about how to a buy a home in their borough.

The event will take place at Restoration Plaza at 1368 Fulton St. will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Bridge Street — a Brooklyn-based nonprofit — will provide information about how to buy a first home, where to find affordable housing, and what to do if your home goes into foreclosure.

There will also be 30 other nonprofits — including the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, Habitat for Humanity NYC, Neighborhood Housing Services of Bedford-Stuyvesant — at the event to offer up their services.

The event is free and will offer visitors the chance to win an iPad in the grand raffle.
