79-Home Development Proposed in Bedford

Area developer Wilder Balter Partners is proposing to build a 79-unit housing complex on more than 100 acres near Bedford center.

Reporter Tom Auchterlonie of The Daily Voice writes that ”Bedford Farm” as it’s called “is bounded by Old Post Road (Route 22) to the north, Crusher Road to the west, Vinton Avenue to the east and the Mianus River to the south.”

The project would consist of single-family homes, some of which would be two structures. Nine of them would be designated as affordable, and the other 70 would be “age-targeted.”

To move forward, the project will need approvals from the Town Board, Planning Board and Wetlands Control Commission.
