Oakfield Avenue Home Bulldozed to Ground

House sustained extreme fire damage last October.

The Oakfield family home that was destroyed in a fire last October has been bulldozed to the ground. 

The bulldozing of the home, located at 801 Wantagh Ave., was sanctioned by the Town of Hempstead, and the permit is displayed on site.

Nobody was injured when the home went up in flames on Oct. 15, 2012. First responders were notified for a call regarding a fully involved roof fire at approximately 3:30 a.m. 

The home had a "For Sale" sign on the front lawn.
