2 Killed In ATV Crash On Long Island
Amado Sanchez, 32, of Brentwood, and Crystal Valdez, 19, of Bay Shore, were killed in the crash, Suffolk police said.
BRENTWOOD, NY — Two people were killed in an ATV crash Sunday afternoon on Long Island, police said.
Amado Sanchez, 32, was driving a 2016 Yamaha ATV in a parking lot behind a building at 91 Heartland Blvd. in Brentwood around 3:45 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, which struck a concrete divider, Suffolk police said.
Sanchez, of Brentwood, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.

Sanchez’s passenger, 19-year-old Crystal Valdez of Bay Shore, was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where she died from her injuries.
Police did not say if either person was wearing at a helmet. The ATV was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
