Brentwood Man Killed In Industrial Accident
The 45-year-old was fixing a tire on a forklift when it exploded and fatally struck him Friday afternoon, police said.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — An employee of a Central Islip business was killed in an industrial accident Friday afternoon, according to Suffolk police.
Osvaldo Flores-Osguin, 45, of Brentwood was repairing a tire on a forklift at T&D Supplies on 1599 Ferndale Boulevard when it exploded and struck him at 4:50 p.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified and is investigating.
