The Central Islip Teachers Association, (CITA), and all
of its members were recognized and honored for their outstanding
commitment to education and dedication to their students, during a
recent ceremony by Suffolk County Legislator Samuel Gonzalez. Legislator
Gonzalez acknowledged CITA teachers for their humanitarian efforts both
throughout the pandemic as well as on a regular basis. He also
recognized all CITA members for their exemplary role model and
leadership abilities, and for the positive inspiration and influences
they instill in their students. Superintendent of Schools, Ms. Sharon A.
Dungee, thanked Legislator Gonzalez, and acknowledged all CITA members
and President, Mr. Michael A. Romano, for their integrity and
collaborative teamwork in making a difference in the lives of their
students as they inspire a love of learning. Â
