Central Islip School District: Fire Prevention Week At Alfano

Students from Alfano Elementary School had hands on lessons in Fire
safety and prevention measures.  Members of the Central Islip Fire
Department visited students at Alfano and schools throughout the
District to offer lessons on fire prevention and how to safely exit a
burning building. Students participated in a mock exit drill in a
simulated smoke house where fire department volunteers demonstrated how
to stay low and safely exit. Fire Prevention Week is an ongoing
partnership between Central Islip Schools and Central Islip Fire
District to help promote fire safety and prevention.
