Islip School District's Director of Adult and Continuing Education, Dr.
Elaine Medin, has been awarded the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce Excellence in Education Award. She will be honored during a
special ceremony in her honor on June 9. Dr. Medin is being recognized
for her commitment to education and for the hard work she and her
faculty, staff and students have accomplished and continue to pursue.
Superintendent of Schools Ms. Sharon A. Dungee acknowledged the growth
and accomplishments of the Adult and Continuing Education Program under
Dr. Medin's leadership. The Board of Education, Administration, Faculty
and Staff congratulate Dr. Medin on this outstanding achievement.Â
