Off-Duty NYPD Officer Grazed By Bullet In Brentwood Shooting
The shooting occurred at the officer's home early Monday.
BRENTWOOD, NY — An off-duty NYPD officer was grazed by a bullet during a shooting at a Brentwood home early Monday, according to Suffolk police.
Shots were fired into a home on Morton Street at 2:30 a.m.
Multiple people were inside the home at the time but only one woman was grazed by a bullet, police said.

The woman was treated at a local hospital and released. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday.
Police say the investigation revealed the incident was "not random" but did not provide additional information.

The officer who was shot reportedly lives in the home with her mother and sister. According to a report in the New York Post, the sister allegedly has a boyfriend who may have previously been associated with the MS-13 gang.
