Man Exposed Private Parts To Central Islip Student: SD
The school district issued a warning after a man was reportedly seen walking towards a female student with his genitals exposed on Monday.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — The Central Islip School District sent a warning to parents after a man reportedly exposed his private parts to a female student while walking home Monday afternoon.
According to a notice from the district, the student was walking on Vanderbilt Avenue near Oakland Avenue at about 2 p.m. when the man started walking towards her.
A passing driver noticed him with his genitals exposed and stopped to confront him. The man then fled the area.

He was described as around a 35 to 40-year-old Black or Hispanic man with brown skin and black hair. He was around six feet tall and was wearing a red jacket with red pants.
The driver spoke to the student who was unaware of the potential danger due to having her ear buds in.

A report was filed with the Suffolk County Police.
"Please review this incident with your children and review stranger/safety issues with them in order to help ensure their safety at all times," the message from Thomas Weiner, director of school safety, read. "Encourage them not to walk alone on the streets and be watchful for strangers, especially those who match the above description."
