Man Struck By Train In Central Islip: MTA
The man was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital after being hit by the train Sunday night.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A man was hospitalized after being struck by a train in Central Islip Sunday night, an MTA spokesperson confirmed. The man was struck by the LIRR train at the Lowell Avenue railroad crossing at 11:32 p.m.
He was conscious and alert while being airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital.
