Police Release Additional Info On Central Islip Hit-And-Run
A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run earlier this month. Police are still searching for the driver.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — Suffolk police released additional information Wednesday on a serious hit-and-run crash that occurred in Central Islip earlier this month.
Detectives believe the car involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a pedestrian on Oct. 4 is a white, four-door Mercedes-Benz sedan.
The car is believed to be either an S550 or S600 class, and the model ranges from 2007 through 2009. It likely has front-end damage.

Anyone with information on the vehicle is asked to call Major Case Unit detectives at 631-852-6553 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
