Woman Charged In Stabbing Death Of Acquaintance In Brentwood: PD
The woman is facing a manslaughter charge, police say.
BRENTWOOD, NY — A woman was arrested Thursday after Suffolk police said she stabbed her acquaintance to death in Brentwood.
Charlene Blackshear, 50, who is homeless, was accused of stabbing Antonio Rice, 56, of Brentwood, police said. A 911 caller reported Rice was stabbed at an apartment at 95 2nd Ave. around 2 a.m., police said. Rice was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.
Blackshear was arrested a short distance away and charged with first-degree manslaughter, police said. She is due to be held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
