More improvements are on the way for Bronxville's Chambers Field thanks to $200,000 in additional donations from the Bronxville School Foundation. A new concession stand is set to be built. In addition, new bleachers and a press box will be constructed.
The Board has already awarded the contracts for the work to Caladri Development Corporation. The work being done to the field is being called "Phase II" of the Chambers Field makeover.
The donations from the Bronxville School Foundation are from private individuals, which means that the work will be done without using taxpayer dollars.
Construction on the project is expected to start in the near future. School officials say they hope to have the work completed by the fall.
