He is part of Team Answer the Call.

BRONXVILLE, NY — David Kilsheimer of Bronxville will be running the upcoming New York Marathon on behalf of the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children’s Benefit Fund.
He's running Nov. 6 as part of Team Answer the Call, to help raise funds for the families of New York City police officers, firefighters, Port Authority police and EMS personnel who put their lives on the line to keep the city safe.
His wife Eve Kilsheimer first became active with the Benefit Fund by volunteering and attending their annual “Kick-off to Summer” events. This year, he decided he wanted to run the TCS Marathon and decided that Answer the Call was the only choice when looking for a partner.

The cause hits close to home. With his brother being a police officer, Kilsheimer is aware of the risks that are taken by heroes every day to ensure the safety of their communities, and feels as though he can empathize with many of the beneficiary families.
“I'm running in the marathon for Team Answer the Call because I believe in supporting the families of our brave first responders,” Kilsheimer said. “I was blessed to have my grandfather retire from the FDNY and have many years afterward to help raise me, but I know not everyone is so lucky to have their heroes come home.”

Kilsheimer will round out the devoted dozen running on team Answer the Call, as they race to raise money to benefit all the heroes and families of the NYPD, FDNY, and PAPD.
