Bronxville Troop 5's New Eagle Scout Inductees

Four young men in Bronxville's Troop 5 are already making a positive mark on the world. Asgede Teckie, Christopher Carley, Steven Ircha Junior and Will Tarry are now Eagle Scouts. The new titles were bestowed upon the young men during a special Grand Court of Honor, in a ceremony marked with tradition and ritual at the Reformed Church of Bronxville.

"The past nine years have been an incredible journey for our family in scouting," says Ircha Junior's father, Steve. "We watched our son Steven grow from a wide-eyed little boy to a man of determination, confidence and pride. I know he'll strive to do his best in serving God, his family, his community and his country."

Only 4% of scouts attain the prestigious rank. All of the scouts had to progress through the ranks and earn at least 21 merit badges. They also had to serve at least one year in a series of troop leadership positions. The last step was completing their Eagle Scout Board Review.
