Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic lung disease that affects 30,000 people in the United States and 70,000 worldwide. In the 1950s few people with CF lived to attend elementary school. Today, due to advances in medicines and treatments, many people with CF are living into their 30’s, 40’s and beyond.
