Convicted Rapist Pleads Guilty to Tuckahoe Gun Charge

Maurice Yarborough, 40, plead guilty to having a gun in his car when he was pulled over in Tuckahoe. The convicted rapist from the Bronx made the plea at White Plains Federal Court.   

Police say they pulled the registered sex offender over on Lake Avenue on February 17 because he was driving without headlights. The incident happened around 1 a.m. Investigators say Yarborough's car smelled like marijuana and his speech was slurred.

Yarborough was previously convicted for a robbery in Mount Vernon and raping a 15-year-old girl in Yonkers. Now that the 40-year-old has plead guilty to his felony gun charge, he is scheduled to be sentenced on September 30.
