Cross County Shopping Center Celebrates Christmas In July
The mall also announced the opening next month of two new businesses.

YONKERS, NY — Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers was recently the site of a celebration of Christmas in July and new campaign to highlight the city as a place to live, work and play. Santa Claus was on hand, in spite of the warm weather, to greet shoppers and promote health and wellness as he handed out complimentary hand sanitizers.
Shoppers were able to participate in a Christmas in July social media scavenger hunt that had them locate holiday decorations to win a Starbucks gift card.
The outdoor mall was also celebrating the opening of Bath & Body Works, the last store in the center to reopen. There was also an announcement of the opening next month of two new stores: Mito Asian Fusion restaurant and Spirit Halloween.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano said the government and businesses, including Cross County Shopping Center, are working to together to boost the local economy.
"The new 'Back to Business' campaign is meant to reinvigorate our growing business community and show that Yonkers is stronger than ever," he said.

The goal of the campaign, according to organizers, is to position Yonkers as "the" pro-business location in the New York metro market.
