Eastchester Firefighters Rescue Dog From Icy Pond [WATCH]

The dog broke through thin ice and found itself in frigid waters on a golf course.

EASTCHESTER, NY — A dog was rescued by firefighters from a frozen pond on a golf course in Eastchester Monday.

Members of the Eastchester Professional Firefighters Local 916 helped get a husky named Jax out of the frigid waters on the Siwanoy Country Club, the Journal News reported.

In a video and photos posted on Facebook, a firefighter could be seen using specialized ice water rescue equipment to quickly get out to the stranded pooch and bring him back to dry land.

The dog could be heard whimpering up until the first responder got to him.

After that, the pair quickly made their way out of the icy waters.
