Eastchester Relay For Life Raises More Than $16,000
Relay For Life serves as a fundraiser to battle cancer.

EASTCHESTER, NY - The Eastchester school district announced that the local Relay For Life fundraiser brought in more than $16,000.
About 130 students from Eastchester High School and Eastchester Middle School participated, according to the district.
The event was held on Saturday, May 20 at Concordia College, the district added.

The top-three fundraisers, according to the district, were Joanna Georgiu with $1,300, Christian Flamio with $1,100 and Anthony Chiodi with $660.
The district also thanked speakers who participated in the fundraiser's Luminaria ceremony: Matt Stern, Grant DelVecchio and John Doherty. Additionally, the district thanked the Louros, Mancini, Aliberti and Devir families for providing the food.

Relay For Life is offered by the American Cancer Society, with local groups holding their own events.
