Eastchester's Mill Road Improvements

$830,000 for road improvements on Mill Road in Eastchester and New Rochelle could possibly be coming down the pipeline.

The following report was originally posted by Patch's Rasheed Oluwa.

Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino wants the Board of Legislators to give quick review and approval to more than $27 million in capital projects that he submitted to them. Included in the list of projects is $830,000 for road improvements on Mill Road in both Eastchester and New Rochelle. Astorino said the projects would create 240 jobs and help improve county roads, bridges, parks and other infrastructure and flood mitigation.

“I urge the Board of Legislators to give prompt attention to these proposals,” Astorino said in statement. “These projects are essential investments in our parks, roads, bridges, buildings and other infrastructure. Beyond that, the projects will create an estimated 240 jobs for our trade unions.”

Astorino said the Board of Legislators has approved $50,155,000 in capital projects that he’s submitted this year.
