Fall Festivals And Fairs A Day Trip From Bronxville

Don't miss out on any of the fun to be had this fall.

BRONXVILLE-EASTCHESTER, NY—It's never too early to start planning some fun activities for the fall. There's a lot going on in the Hudson Valley and it would be a shame to miss out. Here are a few upcoming events ordered by date. We'll be adding some more suggestions as dates are finalized.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 9 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 10, the Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest features wine and beer tasting from some the state's best wineries and craft breweries. Admission is $15.

Hudson Valley Hoptember Festival, 1167 Noxon Road, Lagrangeville

Local beer, local food and local music from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 9. The event will feature new regional brews. Tickets range from $25 for designated drivers to $80 VIP tickets.

The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze, Van Cortlandt Manor, Croton-on-Hudson
The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze will feature 7,000 individually hand-carved, illuminated jack o’ lanterns in a one-of-a-kind walk-through experience. The blaze lasts from Sept. 29 to Nov. 25.

Hudson Valley Garlic Festival, Cantine Field, Washington Avenue Extension, Saugerties
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 30 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1 you can learn more about garlic from chefs and garlic farmers, plus sample delicious garlicky food.

The Annual Harvest Fest, Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, 630 Bedford Road, Pocantico Hills

The fest takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m on October 7 with activities, crafts, live music, and seasonal fare. There will be hayrides, cooking activities and educational tours throughout the property

Burning of Kingston, The Matthewis Persen House, 74 John St., Kingston

From Oct. 13 to 15, the festival commemorates the burning of Kingston by British troops during the Revolutionary War. The event includes picturesque reenactments set against Revolutionary War-era buildings.

Beacon Club Pumpkin Festival, Pete & Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park, Red Flynn Drive, Beacon.

The free festival takes place from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 15. Food, Fun and music.

Soukup Farms Harvest Festival, 271 Halls Corners Rd, Dover Plains

Pick your own pumpkins, take a hay ride to and from the pumpkin patch, explore a hay maze, enjoy games, and a petting zoo. The free festival is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 22

NY State Sheep and Wool Festival, Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Route 9, Rhinebeck.

The day includes 300 fiber artists and crafts galore, as well as sheep herding demonstrations and sheepdog trials, plus a petting zoo. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 22. Tickets are $12 at the gate, $10.50 in advance and $18 for a weekend pass.
