Filing Date Extended For Tuckahoe School Board Races Amid Large Field
Six candidates are running for three seats on the Tuckahoe school board, although the filing date has been extended.

TUCKAHOE, NY - A large field for three Tuckahoe school board seats could get bigger due to the extension of the deadline to file.
The Tuckahoe Union Free School District announced that the deadline has been extended to Tuesday, May 9 because a candidate withdrew on April 24. Prospective candidates must have their paperwork in by 5 p.m.
So far, six candidates are running for three seats. They include incumbents Michelle Liscio and Danielle Nealis, and newcomers Anthony Fiore Jr., Peter A. Casson, Cynthia Biondi Tait and Bobby Lee.

The third incumbent who is up for re-election, current board President Stephen Pagnotta, is not running again.
Pagnotta and Liscio are wrapping up regular terms, which expire on June 30. Nealis was appointed to serve temporarily due to a vacancy, and therefore has a term that is due to expire shortly after the election. Winning the rest of the term means that it will run to June, 30, 2018.
