Gramatan Village Celebrates Good Neighbor Day and Volunteerism

Gramatan Village Celebrates National Good Neighbor Day and Volunteerism on September 28th

Volunteer at Gramatan Village!

Gramatan Village knows that not all heroes wear capes, and we have seen them recently disguised as students, retirees, our own Board Members, and nurses. On September 28 at 11:00am, Gramatan Village will celebrate National Good Neighbor Day virtually with our volunteers, members, and prospective volunteers. Good neighbors build great communities, and Gramatan Village wants to express our sincere gratitude for the time and dedication you have shown to us during the pandemic, as well as every day. Shopping for and delivering groceries to our older adults; making friendly phone calls to someone who is alone and feeling isolated; these are just a few of the endless kindnesses we have borne witness to over the past few months.

2020 has been a remarkable year, and it is not over yet. There’s still potential to enrich your life and make a difference. Volunteerism builds character in youth, affords families the chance to bond, and enables older adults to share their wisdom with the community.

Are you interested in volunteering at Gramatan Village? There are opportunities to lead engaging workshops on a variety of topics as well as virtual tours, co-facilitate fun activities, provide tech support, chat with members one to one, and much more.
