Hudson Valley Resident Wins TV Baking Contest
How does a two-tier chocolate cake filled with almond biscotti and espresso mousse and covered with meringue buttercream sound?
EASTCHESTER, NY — A Westchester baker won the title of "America's Best Amateur Baker" on the ABC television show "Great American Baking Show" Thursday, Dec. 20.
Tina Zaccardi of Eastchester won out of a field of 10 other bakers on the series finale, the Journal News said.
The winning baked goods on the last show included a dozen cannoli with the ends dipped in chopped pistachios and a two-tier chocolate cake filled with almond biscotti and espresso mousse that was covered with meringue buttercream.
