HV Middle School Boys Take Silver at Empire State Cup Lacrosse Tournament
The Hudson Valley team has members from Yorktown, Croton, Mount Kisco, Somers, New Rochelle, Eastchester, Ossining, Bedford and Cortlandt.

News from the HV middle school boys lacrosse team:
The Empire State Cup Lacrosse Tournament was held from July 29-31 2015 at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY.
In the Middle School Division, the representatives from the Hudson Valley took home the silver medal after a hard-fought 7-5 loss to the team from New York City in the championship game. Max Popolizio/Hen Hud (4a), Blake Borges/Yorktown (2g,1a), Kyle Morrison/Croton (1g), Alex Fraioli/Yorktown (1g) and Jonathan Bradbury/New Rochelle (1g) led the HV offensive effort in that game.

The HV team made it to the finals with strong defense (B Williams, J Hufnagel, R DiChiara) athletic goal play (C Morfit, M Argila, D Huh) and the outstanding play and leadership of Keegan Doller. More offensive scoring was provided (J Carino, N Rossi, K McKenna, J Rozgonyi).
This is the second consecutive year that the HV middle school boys won the silver medal. In 2014 the HV boys middle school team fell to Long Island in the final. High school and middle school boys and girls teams from six regions of NYS participate in the games.

Team members include; Christian Morfit/Pelham, Kevin McKenna/Somers, Joe Carino/Somers, TJ Bryan/Shrub Oak, Kyle Morrison/Croton, Ethan Carmody/Bedford, Daniel Huh/Scarsdale, Joe Rozgonyi/Mt. Kisco, Nick Rossi/Somers, Mike Argila/Mahopac, Blake Borges/Yorktown, Jonathan Bradbury/New Rochelle, Ethan Schmidt, Brendan Williams/Yorktown, Alex Fraioli/Yorktown, Dylan Rivi/Ossining, John Hufnagel/Yorktown, Rocco DiChiara/Mt. Kisco, Tyler Previte, Keegan Doller/Yorktown, Max Popolizio/Croton-Hen Hud, Joe Michaelski/Eastchester and Josh Hirsch/Yorktown. The team was coached by Yorktown HS JV lacrosse coach Joe Borges and assistants Bill Doller and Jordan Tiger.
