Norah May Murphy

May 25, 1955 - May 14, 2021

Norah M. Murphy passed away on Friday May 14, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Norah was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and friend. She graduated as valedictorian from Mandl School of Nursing in 1975. Norah went on to work for a doctor and then his son at the same practice for 44 years, before retiring in 2019. She was strong and survived breast cancer in 2005, while continuing to work with a positive attitude. Norah was loved by many and did not have a mean bone in her body. She was an animal lover, especially her cat Tulip and dog Sunny, and rescued many pets over the years. She was an avid New York Yankees fan, and enjoyed going to games and watching them on TV. She enjoyed Jeopardy and was always the smartest but most humble person in the room. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and watching the squirrels. She loved to travel and went on many bus tours with her two nieces, Kim and Julie. She enjoyed spending time with family and was admired by many. Norah will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the memories of her loved ones. Norah is survived by her sister Grace, brother Edward and her cat Tulip.
