Metro-North Seeks Proposals To Lease Bronxville Station Building
A new tenant is wanted to renovate and reinvigorate the underutilized space.

BRONXVILLE, NY — MTA Metro-North Railroad wants to reinvigorate the Bronxville Station. The railroad is asking qualified applicants to submit proposals to assume the lease for the Bronxville Station House, with the goal of transforming the underutilized space, making it a more customer-friendly environment.
The station building currently houses only a small concession stand and a ticket both. Metro-North is soliciting proposals covering two sections of the station house. The first section totals 2,446 square feet and encompasses the entire interior of the building, including the waiting area and restrooms. The second section, totaling 388 square feet, is at the southwest end of the building, and would be ideal for a small office.
The interior is well suited for a café or restaurant, according to a spokeswoman, opening the doors for better quality coffee and food options at the station, as well as a more appealing venue for commuters and residents. The tenant selected to operate the space will be required to improve customer amenities, including upgrading bathrooms, painting the interior, installing new fixtures and creating a new seating area.
