“All students in the orientation program really got the knack of the formality of discussion very quickly and arrived at some interesting solutions to address the issue of nuclear proliferation,” Klurfeld said.

Club leaders Chloe Lee and Patrick Wu, both juniors, have been guiding their classmates through the process and were commended for their knowledge and enthusiasm. Earlier in the year, the students participated in the virtual Washington Area Model United Nations Conference, where they assumed the roles of U.N. ambassadors, debated a wide spectrum of current issues and advocated for their positions.
