NFL Draft To Be Conducted From Goodell's Hudson Valley Home

Before the new coronavirus outbreak, the Las Vegas Strip had originally been scheduled for the draft.

BRONXVILLE, NY — The first-round picks for the 2020 NFL Draft will come from an unusual location due to the new coronavirus. Bronxville resident and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will announce the picks from his basement April 23.

The Las Vegas Strip had originally been scheduled for the draft, the New York Times reported.

Goodell won't be the only person during the televised event.

There will also be interviews and appearances with managers, coaches and players, the Times said.

According to the NFL's website, the draft will be presented April 23-25 on ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network.

Other than from Goodell's home, the telecasts will originate from ESPN's studios in Bristol, Connecticut, and will follow proper social distancing guidelines and local workplace rules due to the new coronavirus.
