Police ID Victim Of Fatal Motorcycle Crash On I-87
Police say the driver of a car on the Thruway started to move over as the speeding motorcycle approached. The motorcyclist also moved over.
New York State police have identified the victim of a two-car crash on I-87 in Westchester County Saturday as Juan A. Rosario-Tiburcio of Newark, New Jersey.
The accident occurred at 1:44 a.m. on the southbound Thruway in Yonkers.
Police said Rosari9-Tiburcio, 36 was riding a 2015 BMW motorcycle southbound on I-87, in the center lane, at a high rate of speed. A 2017 Volkswagon Jetta was also southbound in the center lane near mile marker 3.7, ahead of the BMW.

The driver of the Jetta, Raymond G. Gonzalez, 40, of Princeton, NJ, observed the motorcycle approaching from behind and attempted to change into the right lane.
Rosario-Tiburcio attempted to pass the Jetta on the right, collided with the passenger side of the vehicle, and was ejected from his motorcycle.

Rosario-Tiburcio and was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Westchester Medical Examiner's Office, pending an autopsy.
Gonzalez was not injured as a result of the accident.
The State Police were assisted on scene by Troop K BCI and CRU (Collision Reconstruction Unit), Yonkers PD, Westchester County, Empress EMS, and County Towing.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
