Summer Theater Near Bronxville

When the play's the thing you're after, you won't have to travel far.

BRONXVILLE-EASTCHESTER, NY—Want to add some drama—or comedy—to your summer calendar? The Hudson Valley offers a slate of theatrical performances, a few of which are performed outdoors. On a sunny summer day, a theater performance can be a good excuse for a day trip that also allows you to explore neighboring towns.

Croton-on-Hudson

Croton Teen Theater will present "Pippin" at 8 p.m. on July 27, 28, and 29 and at 2 p.m. July 30 at Croton Harmon High School on 8b Old Post Road South. For ticket information, click here.

Chappaqua

The Chappaqua Performing Arts Center will have eight different Broadway themed workshop weeks for kids, aged 5 to 15, ending in performances of such Broadway hits as "Beauty and the Beast," "The Sound
of Music," "Seussical," "Peter Pan," and "The Little Mermaid," performed by workshop students. Performances take place at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center, 480 North Bedford Road. For more information, click here.

Woodstock

The Woodstock Shakespeare Festival will present "The Merchant of Venice" from July 14 through August 6 at 45 Comeau Drive, Woodstock. For more information, click here.

Poughkeepsie

Cold Spring

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival will present several plays this summer, including 'Pride and Prejudice," "Twelfth Night," "The Book of Will" and "Love's Labour Lost." Rockland

Suffern

The 20th season of Rockland Shakespeare Company Presents 20th Season, begins July 7 and runs through July 23 at 145 College Road, Suffern. Shows are free and open to the public. This season’s exciting repertory performances are: a traditional presentation of Othello, a modern version of The Winter’s Tale, and a fun extraterrestrial (ET) themed version of Othello – titled "EThello."
