Tainted Cocaine Suspected In Yonkers, Bronx Deaths
Yonkers police issued a public safety alert.
YONKERS, NY — Yonkers police are investigating two recent deadly overdoses in the city. They're also aware of three apparent overdose incidents in the Woodlawn area of the Bronx.
All five incidents may be connected to the same source of tainted cocaine. All resulted in the deaths of the users.
The Yonkers incidents include a 38-year-old man who died on Friday, and a 40-year-old man who died Saturday, police said.

The City of Yonkers and Yonkers Police Department offer their condolences to the families of the victims.
Both the Yonkers Police Major Case Squad and Narcotics Unit are collaborating with the NYPD and local law enforcement in the investigation.
