Thompson And White Jr. Named To CACC All-Academic Teams
Concordia College's Caitlin Thompson and Alex White Jr. were named to the CACC Men's and Women's All-Academic Teams
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced its Men’s and Women's Basketball All-Academic Team on Friday afternoon, with redshirt-sophomore guard Caitlin Thompson (Bronx, N.Y.) and sophomore forward Alex White Jr. (Middletown, Conn.) representing Concordia College New York on the teams.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term, minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution, be second year student-athlete at member institution and have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
An Education major, Thompson holds a 3.98 GPA while appearing in 14 games during the 2018-19 season.

It is Thompson’s first honor from the conference, and the 15th women’s basketball student-athlete to receive All-Academic Team distinction since the 2011-12 season.
A Business Administration major, White Jr. sports a 3.64 GPA. White Jr. ranked amongst the best in the conference on the court during the 2018-19 season with 8.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, finishing as the sixth and fourth-best averages within the league respectively. His blocks per game average and 40 total rank fourth and fifth in the men’s basketball program record book while his rebound per game rate placed ninth.

It is White Jr.’s first honor from the conference, and the programs first representative on the league’s All-Academic Team since Chris Gordy during the 2014-15 season.
