Trans Jazz- Contemporary Gospel Music Comes to Village Lutheran Church
Bronxville, NY- The Village Lutheran Church Coffee House is proud to present Trans Jazz. a Metro-New York City based gospel band that uses contemporary jazz and other music styles creatively. This intergenerational and interdenominational band is composed of ten members with a unique style that has been described as “Sade, turned on to Jesus.” TransJazz has released three CD albums:: Transitions and New Day (EBL Records) and Joy for the Journey, release by CD Baby in 2019. TransJazz features Vanessa Daley and Franceska Marie, two very talented singers, along with Dinah Vero on piano.
The band was nominated for two Urban Gospel Music Alliance awards. TransJazz has performed at over 100 events, including at seven concerts with legendary singer Melba Moore.
The only performance will be Sunday, August 1, at 3:00pm. The performance will be held in the Sanctuary of Village Lutheran Church and The Chapel School, 172 White Plains Road, Bronxville New York. Adult tickets are $10. For more information or to reserve your tickets please call 914-337-0207.
