Tuckahoe High Names Valedictorian

Tuckahoe's Casey Stevko has been named as the high school's class valedictorian. Stevko has also received seven Senior Awards this year. The prestigious awards are given to the senior with the highest academic average in each respective subject area at the high school.

"As a student she has excelled in the most rigorous program of study we have to offer, achieving a perfect score of 100 on four different Regents exams and maintaining a 100.83 GPA amidst all courses taken at the AP or Honors level," according to the School District.

Last year, Stevko was named as the Softball Player of the Year. She has also received a ConEd scholarship for her athletic accomplishments.

Stevko, who will be heading to the University of Pennsylvania, has also tirelessly volunteer within the Tuckahoe community and at her school. The graduating senior says she will continue her softball career at the University of Pennsylvania.
