Turkey Pardoned Tuesday In Yonkers Ceremony

The turkey, who is named "Tim," came from Stew Leonard's in Yonkers.

YONKERS, NY — One lucky turkey will be headed to a farm sanctuary instead of someone's dinner table this year. "Tim" the turkey was pardoned Tuesday, Nov. 20 by Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano.

The fortunate bird was one of 75,000 turkeys from Stew Leonard's that will be served for Thanksgiving this year.

Spano was joined at the ceremony at the Yonkers store by Stew Leonard Jr., president and CEO of Stew Leonard's.
