Warm and Rainy Weekend Weather In Eastchester

The storm should move offshore by Sunday.

BRONXVILLE, NY — A rainy weekend in the Hudson Valley was prefaced by a warm Friday afternoon. Then showers started.

"Another half inch to an inch of rain seems likely, so 2019 will pick up right where 2018 left off," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

That could cause low-lying and poor drainage flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood statement in effect from 10 a.m. through noon Saturday for areas along western Long Island Sound. There are expected to be tidal departures of 1-1/2 to 2 feet above normal with localized values up to 2-1/2 feet.
