Warmer End To Month: Work Week Weather For Bronxville

BRONXVILLE, NY — Aside from a few stray showers passing through the Hudson Valley Monday morning, it seems we are done with serious rain until the end of the work week. Add to that a rise of temperatures and it's not a bad way to end one month and begin another.

"We'll see a warming trend through the week … as a high pressure sets up over the eastern US and western Atlantic," Hudson Valley Weather said. "This will keep the weather tranquil, but moderating in terms of temperatures."

And there's good news for those of you who will be out trick-or-treating on Halloween. Aside from a slight chance of showers in the northern parts of the Hudson Valley, the low Wednesday night will be around 50 degrees.

Here is the forecast for the work week from the National Weather Service for southern Westchester County.

• Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 55. West wind 9 to 14 mph.
• Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. West wind around 9 mph.
• Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. Northwest wind 9 to 11 mph.
• Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
• Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.
• Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 68.
• Thursday Night: Showers likely, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 55. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Friday: Showers likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 63. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
• Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45.
