When Will The Rain Stop: Bronxville's Weekend Weather

BRONXVILLE, NY — The leading edge of the cold front pushing into the region is full of storms. Here's what Hudson Valley Weather had to say about it: "Rain. Rain. More Rain."

Plus, gusty winds. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous outlook and wind advisory for possible tree damage and power outages.

Also, by the time it's over on Saturday, snow showers may lightly whiten the mountains of southern New York, said Kristina Pydynowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.

Here's the weekend forecast from the NWS for southern Westchester:

• Tonight: Showers likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 8pm. Low around 53. South wind 6 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
• Saturday: Rain likely, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 56. Breezy, with a west wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
• Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38. West wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
• Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 54. Light north wind.
• Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41.
