Yonkers Police Sergeant Missing, May Be Danger To Himself

Robert G. Byrnes, 48, was last seen in Yonkers but may be in Queens.

YONKERS, NY — A Yonkers Police Department sergeant is missing and authorities described him as a "vulnerable adult."

Yonkers police said Robert G. Byrnes, 48, was last seen in the city of Yonkers but may be in the area of Far Rockaway Beach, Queens.

He was been experiencing health problems recently and "may potentially be a danger to himself," according to the department.

Byrnes was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, a brown winter Carhartt style coat, a brown and white wool hat and khaki cargo pants.

He is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, police said. He has light brown hair and blue eyes.
